It seems increasing clear that it is necessary to change the way we think of medicine. We need to focus on prevention and the treatment of the cause of disease. It would be financially responsible to initiate a yearly testing program so that children who are suffering from heavy metal exposure could be detoxed and given a real chance at education and a productive life. We also need to address the environment in which we raise our children so they do not become our scapegoats for cheap products and quick fixes.
