: CCA will be going the same way as asbestos - but there will be a lot of corporrupting influence to overcome. I think the main source of help may well be from the medical profession as they are too far away to be influenced by the wooden heads. It may not be easy to get through to them but seems the most reliable method. This is known As "The Strategy of Indirect Approach" a military concept.
: Has anyone seen a report by a National medical association about the hazards of CCA ?

Hi Peter,
Nice to hear from you. In Canada the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment have given me their support and are educating their members on diagnosing this contamination.
The Canadian Cancer Society and other groups as well have made statements on the dangers of cca wood.
In other countries, I have been supplying medical professionals with data and some have begun teaching on this contamination like Dr Elizabeth Guillette at the University of Florida.
You are right however in that doctors need to study and publish reports.
Two such reports have been written up in medical journals and I have reason to believe another one may be on the way.
These reports are called
Peters, H.A., Croft, W.A., Woolson, E.A., Darcy, B.A., Olson, M.A.: “Hematological, Dermal and Neuropsychological Disease From Burning and Power Sawing Chrominum-Copper-Arsenic(CCA)-Treated Wood”

Peters, H.A, Croft, W.A., Woolson, E.A., Darcey, B.A., Olson, M.A: “Seasonal arsenic exposure from burning chromium-arsenate treated wood,” JAMA 251: 2393-2396, MAY 11, 1984

I have copies of these reports for anyone interested and contact for two of the doctors.
Thanks for your comments Peter and I believe as we all stick together, we shall see the end to this dangerous product.
Take care and please keep safe
Deborah
